Engage Equip Empower

Whether you think you have an STI and need treatment, are unsure if you are pregnant, are concerned about how to handle an unplanned pregnancy, or have questions about your options, we are here for you.
Call us at 352-367-2716 or make an appointment online.

All of our clients at A Woman’s Answer (AWA) first meet with a staff member to assess needs and take a pregnancy test. Then an ultrasound exam is scheduled. Support counseling gives us an understanding of our client’s state of mind concerning their pregnancy, and highlights their individual needs, concerns, and questions.

AWA has several resources available to help you. AWA’s counselors do their best to provide the information and advice needed to make the best choice for you.

  • Parenting: The thought of parenting before you expected to may be overwhelming; those feelings are normal. Many people may not feel ready right away, but the good news is you have nine months to prepare. We offer emotional support to you as you get ready for unexpected parenthood, helping you plan for the future. If finances are a concern, we can make referrals to programs that can provide you with assistance in areas such as medical care, food, and other basic living expenses.
  • Adoption: Did you know that you can plan for adoption throughout your pregnancy without needing to make a final decision until after the baby’s birth? Adoption lets you pursue your goals while giving your baby a great start in life. If you are interested in potentially making an adoption plan, we can discuss the option with you and refer you to agencies who will give you information without pressure.
  • Abortion: We do not provide or refer for abortion, but we can discuss physical and psychological Abortion Risks to consider before making this decision.

However your personal situation evolves, you are always welcome to visit AWA for support from our counselors.
