Whether you think you have an STI and need treatment, are unsure if you are pregnant, are concerned about how to handle an unplanned pregnancy, or have questions about your options, we are here for you.

If you are considering abortion, take the time to go through our checklist:

1. Confirm Your Pregnancy

Did you know that a pregnancy test alone does not medically confirm your pregnancy? Medical confirmation can be provided through an ultrasound. An ultrasound shows how far along you are, which determines the abortion procedures you qualify for.

2. Get Tested and Treated for STI/STDs

If you have an abortion with an untreated STI/STD, you are at increased risk for pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) which can result in future infertility or chronic pain. A Woman’s Answer offers no-cost STI/STD testing and treatment to ensure your health.

4. Consider the Alternatives

In order to make a truly informed decision, it is important to consider all your options: abortion, adoption and parenting. This decision can only be made by you and you alone. Taking the time to consider each option gives you the confidence you need to make the best decision for you.

5. Pause and Ask

When faced with such an important decision it is beneficial to pause and be able to address your concerns. No matter what you choose for your unexpected pregnancy, we encourage you to visit the A Woman’s Answer and get answers to your questions so you can be confident in the decision you make.

*A Woman’s Answer (AWA) does not perform or refer for abortions.
